Treatment for Borderline

Postby eriswebmir » Thu Aug 12, 2021 7:39 pm

Hello please could I have your advice if this rings any bells with you. I'm trying to find a way to improve my situation. I have not been given full diagnosis of borderline, only 'traits of', which I was okay with, but now i realise I am stuck in no mans land. I dont have a diagnosis so can't access treatment for borderline, but I have been told I can't take anti-depressants as these will make mood swings worse. So at the moment I am on quitiapine [antipsychotic] but am having extreme lows. I dont have bad highs, the most that happens is I get the house cleaned. I am in a part time job that I am way over qualified for. I want to be able to cope with work that I am qualified in but I find social situations a mind field and get in arguments with people, I have not been able to hold down a job for more that 18 months and have changed careers each job.

So has anyone had any luck with medication, or talking therapies with borderline, and if this has improved their ability stay in work?
