Re: Advice please, my mum is really unwell

How awful for you and your siblings and frankly everyone! I'm replying as I can see no one has, even though I don't have sufficient experience to really comment. I'd like to think that the Doctor would have informed social services if there are any children involved and from what you describe am ama...

Re: Can anyone relate?

Welcome Katysaid, Posting is hard, especially the 1st time, so well-done! I'm sorry to say this but I really feel that whilst this forum is useful and used by many people it does not provide the same level of support as say: https://www.mentalhealthforum.net/forum/ Far more users, with an active mod...

Re: Hello, im new here

Welcome, Well done to have the courage to post to the forum! (I still remember the feeling, not very easy and I'm relatively new myself) Whilst there is obviously a wealth of experience, knowledge, words of support and care available, sadly this forum does not provide a means for registered users to...

Re: I’m the problem

The self analysis is great, but please don't be too hard on yourself, recognizing where you can make improvements is one thing, doing it quite another entirely (particularly when you are attempting to control your own emotions and thoughts). Hang in there, you are not alone and one day things will b...

Re: Finally admitting I need help

Welcome to the forum. 1st - Admitting that there is a problem is an important 1st step! (I'm sure some people don't realise that there is a problem) 2nd - Recognizing that you need (or would benefit from) help is as good as any 2nd step! 3rd - Asking for help and to whom ? is really hard who and how...

Looks like the forum would support private messages (see add friend or foe), but the admin has disabled the functionality for all forum members.

Board admin, please advise ?

Re: Convinced everything I say/do is wrong

I don't know what you said... What I have painfully learned is to be very careful (be selective) who I share things with... (the issue with writing things down is that they can be read over and over again and potentially misinterpreted, the issue with conversation is it can be hard to communicate on...

ADHD - EHA and the one that really hurts RSD

I think I’m probably well enough to write the following… I suffered from huge stress during lockdown 1 (caused by operating at the limit of my ability for an extended time, all without what I'd usually do to de-stress), then with "our release" back into normal life I completely unwittingly...

Re: Convinced everything I say/do is wrong

Dear Rocknrollgypsy, I'm with you... as I hope anyone would be who has suffered from MH issues. A real shame we are not in another country aka Denmark, who apparently increase spending on MH each time there is a significant country wide incident/event. Some things to read https://www.theguardian.com...
