I used to suffer from panic attacks and uncomfortable spasms of adrenaline. No amount of relaxation, talking or CBT made any difference until I saw these web sites : Panicend and “It`s just a feeling”.
After reading these I stopped fighting anxiety and accepted it. I imagined a demon on my shoulder who was in charge, reinforcing “the cycle of fear”. When I felt discomfort I challenged the demon to make me worse, even talking out loud to it. It couldn`t make me worse so it`s credibility was weakened.
My confidence started to return and I began to reduce the anti-depressants I was taking. Now I am free of both the anxiety and the medication.

If I may, I would like to send another message later concerning anti-depressants and the problems when coming off them.
