Barcelona Marathon 2023
Take on a marathon in sunny Spain! This fully urban route runs passes through the main landmarks of the stunning city of Barcelona. Enjoy many of the top sights on your run including the Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou and Arc de Triomf.
The course of the “Zurich Marató Barcelona” is, according to the runners who have participated, one of the most spectacular in the world and has been designed with the intention that you live a magical experience in each of your strides. The route, entirely urban, runs through the heart of a cosmopolitan, open and active city.

Barcelona Marathon
When: Sunday 19th March 2023
Where: Barcelona, Spain
Distance: 26.2 miles
The route for Barcelona Marathon starts and ends at Avenida de La Reina Maria Cristina and leads out to Plaza Espanya. You then wind around a 25-mile circuit of Barcelona which have some of the spectacular monuments and sights en route.
Joining Options
1. SELF FUNDING
£250 – registration fee and no fundraising commitment
You pay the full cost and fundraise whatever you want, with no set targets.
2. SPONSORSHIP FOR CHARITY
£25 – registration fee | £225 – fundraising target
The event cost is met through raising a minimum fundraising target. 50% fundraising target due 3 weeks before the challenge (£112.50 by 26 February 2023); Remaining 50% due 4 weeks after the challenge (16 April 2023).
3. Mixed Funding
£125 – registration fee | £125 – fundraising target
Pay half of the event cost and fundraise a smaller target. 50% fundraising target due 3 weeks before the challenge (£62.50 by 26 February 2023); Remaining 50% due 4 weeks after the challenge (16 April 2023).
