Sirius’ Charity Golf Day gets a £10k hole in one for SANE
Sirius Property Finance hosted its inaugural Charity Golf Day on 21 September in aid of SANE. Thanks to the amazing support of everyone involved a staggering £10k was raised.
The event, held at Essendon Country Club, was organised by Nick Christofi and Leoni Alexandrou from Sirius – a brokerage based in the City of London.
Leoni said, “A few colleagues and I did a Mental Health First Aid Course and in the booklet we were given, was a list of organisations. SANE was listed. We select a charity each year to support, and we really liked the fact that not only does SANE focus on supporting the individual with Mental Health issues, but also their family and/or carers.”
Earlier this year, during Mental Health Awareness Week, Leoni and her colleagues decided to sell plants to demonstrate it is important to look after your mental health, just like you should look after a plant.
Joanna Christophi, SANE’s Director of Fundraising & Marketing, said, “The Golf Day was fantastic, Sirius Property Finance did an outstanding job at organising the event and the generosity of everyone who attended was fantastic. Huge thanks to Nick, Leoni and everyone who supported the event, and we look forward to working with Sirius on another event in November.”
