SANE pays tribute to former chairman
SANE today pays tribute to former chairman Ian Hay Davison CBE.
Marjorie Wallace CBE, founder and Chief Executive of SANE, said: “Ian was a giant of a man who gave so much of his time, boundless energy and passionate commitment to SANE over many years.
“He was a truly remarkable person, who held pivotal roles at numerous financial institutions – including Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s of London – and voluntary organisations such as the Royal Opera House, Victoria and Albert Museum and Sadler’s Wells. We were privileged that he gave us so much of his wealth of knowledge and influence.
“The world needs more people with his strength, faith and fearless integrity in effecting change. We are proud to have his son, Mark, as one of our trustees.”
