Im sorry, I was once upon a time a Christian.
Now I refer to myself as a liberal backslider.
My journey has been opposite to others.
I have seen any faith eroded by my journey in life and the attitude of other christians to many issues in life , namely ~ LGBT , Diabetes , Mental Health , Evolution etc etc

I miss the community of the church sometimes but I'm not convinced that I have any spark of faith left in me

I also think we mustn't forget that man caused most of the bad things but God gave us Free will

We can see God as loving and sharing in our suffering. Or we can feel he's heartless. I think he's loving but I totally understand why people think the latter.
What is for sure. Life, for many of us, is immensely difficult and so we cling to one belief or the other.
