I am so glad my words gave you comfort. I think mental illness can really confuse our relationship with God. Some years ago I went through a spell where if I was depressed I found it hard to believe i was part of God's creation. It was really upsetting. I live in Scotland and there is a group that has spiritual guides who help you on your journey with God. I see a retired Church of Scotland minister. He has helped me so much to know how much God loves me. I am able to feel fully that God loves me for who I am and I know fully that God loves you for who you are.
Mental illness is cruel. It robs us of so much and like me your faith in God is precious.

Not getting help after crying out for it kinda made me think, 'stuff them! I'll crack on myself instead!'

Thanks for checking in on me.
I'm pretty good thanks. I've been able to keep my mood up for all of this week which is great. I've been doing lots of nice things to help my mood and have been spending time with my little nieces and nephew. That's always lovely! My CBT session went well too. I think it's going to help with time.
I'm becoming more accepting of my mental health problems and trying to take and keep the pressure off.
How are you doing?

Thanks so much for reminding me about balance the other day in relation to my work stress. I dismissed it at the time but sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. Someone was describing being caught in the same work-stress loop as me this evening. I found myself saying; 'The only way I've found to break that cycle is to find balance between work and not-work...*Thought bubble appeared*
Ohhh yeahhhh, thanks Em! You were spot on! This is the way forward for me too. *Thought bubble popped*
