Why do we apologise even when we know that we are in the right because we are nice or in my case because I can’t take conflict puts me back in some bad places in my life
So I am cross with myself for taking the blame when I know people have lied to me

Hi Cyprus

One way I learned to think is that I should not have been placed in that position to start with, to ask myself why I am attacking myself for something someone else has done. I accepted I was not responsible for the actions of others. It helped.

Hi Cyprus,

Saying "sorry" is part of British politeness, as it is normally able to quickly defuse a situation, as we appear to take responsibility for causing a tension to arise in the social environment. It doesn't mean that we're in the wrong at all, but simply as a tool to settle any tensionx

Much love <3
