hi, i bought a really good smoothies maker from a charity shop for £8.99 but i've only used it once,

i bought a recipe book from waterstones with simple recipes and fun ideas and i also bought the ingredients from the shop, fruits, low fat yoghurt, ice cream,

so far i have only made 1 banana smoothie and it was strong and thick and gave me heartburn,

i wish i could use it more but i am never in the mood for a smoothie, i usually have tea or beer lol

does anyone use a smoothie maker? :)

Hi braveheart

I have not tried a smoother maker but have often fancied one. I think drinks made with more vegetables in are supposed to be healthier for us.

I held back because I imagined I would have a kitchen appliance on the worktop that would not get used.

A bit like the exercise bike that was handy to hang clothes on in the bedroom.

Don't give up on it though. I would be interested to hear if you find a good recipe.

Take care. Chris.
