Love this thread guys :D happy new year and sending hugs.

I like a bit of rock when I need to be lifted up (poss something to do with me not being able to express my anger ;) so it feels really freeing eg this by Royal Blood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD7NZTQ3QxY

The hair is really bad, the image is pretty bad, the lyrics are really really bad- 'let's rhyme masses with...masses' but no-one can say the drummers are bad. punk and heavy metal, worst music in the world, defies being crap by sheer sweaty, frizzy, blousy ...er crapness

Happy New Year to you all.
I really like Rehab sung by Amy Winehouse.
I hope saying this is not problematic, :?:
its just that some therapists like to have the last word in a conversation...not the best therapists but some.
So, for me this song redresses the balance.

by the way I think Rehab, therapy e.t.c. is a good idea, not easy though....

Happy new year to you too ATTMP :D I love that song too! It has made me feel different ways over the years - sometimes calm and relaxed, sometimes doing a little dance while doing the washing up - and sometimes really upset. I remember a time I was just crying and crying listening to that song - like I wish it was that easy to switch the worry off ;)

Loving all the song choices xxxx

Oh my goodness...
BIAO...
I had forgotten about this song!!!
My brother and I used to sing it loads ( We had a S*** childhood) so we developed this weird sense of humour...
I have not seen the video of it, so thank you very much.

We would make up extra verses for the song for example:
the rain is coming through the roof
the repair man.... is quite aloof
don't worry, be happy...

So thank you again BIAO
******************Happy New Year ATTMP, BIAO, Maisi, every one :D *************************

still smiling

O.K.
I am quite cheered up now...thank you again.

I think Keep smiling, keep shining is good. It might appear a bit cliché nowadays, but it has helped me in the past.

Just the sound of the harmonica that Stevie Wonder plays sends me into raptures...

Best Wishes to all for the new year.

Very much needing uplifting songs today.
...and uplifting films.
Films with Hugh Grant in can be a really good distraction on a day like today.
This week watched Music and Lyrics....making fun of the 80s pop scene and singers that make a come back.
The spoof song...Pop goes my heart was fun. It would be, I guess, as I am of the generation ...as a little girl as 'in love' with David Cassidy.
There were some poignant lines about what real poetry is and seeing people that write songs as true poets...
So, yea, pop goes my heart. ;)

Yes yes yes - hugh grant films are definitely a tonic. I have had a tough couple of weeks and your tip has come at a very good time, thank you! :)
