Re: "What about my feelings?"

Hi sinead.bre, You are in a very relatable position, it's hard to balance the feeling of being a burden with the knowledge that people who care about you want to help and know what's going on with you. I imagine that with a new relationship this is particularly hard as trust is still being built. I ...

Unsupportive

I don't know if I can be a part of this anymore, It feels like people on here are using this as a suicide note. Sometimes I feel like I'm just begging strangers not to kill themselves. This hurts too much.

Re: Feel so low *trigger potential

Hi whisper28, I'm so sorry you are going through this. You are not being stroppy or dramatic you are going through something incredibly difficult. There are things that can be done now, you don't have to wait for your GP in 2 weeks. Consider calling Samaritans 116 123 (UK) to talk or NHS 111 if you ...

Re: 'Normal' and Mental Health

Hi capitalt, I've just read a couple of your posts to other people and have found them to be very thoughtful and insightful - I think your experiences are helping other people already. I believe the only point of a medical diagnosis is to help the person in need understand themselves better and poin...

Re: Moving on from self-harm

Hi curvylu (and francesdrake), Your written piece is beautiful and it struck a chord with me. I have also used self harm as a way to cope, for a while it was my only way to cope with difficult (seemingly impossible) feelings. A couple of years ago I actually found myself on a training course for peo...

Re: A quick question about enough

Hi phanhuyen12, It sounds like you've done a good bit of soul searching and I think it's really good that you've done this work, identifying what you want and identifying some of the traps you fall into. It sounds like you've been through a lot of change recently which is difficult, but can lead to ...

Re: Denial- friend or foe?

Hi emloja, Sorry to hear about your current situation. It's a difficult question you are dealing with and one I have also thought about. I would say first, that just because you've had a dip doesn't mean you aren't getting better (big picture). Recovery isn't always a straight forward progression an...

Re: What do you do to cope?

Hi Janet, Welcome to the forum :) I'm so sorry for your loss, it's so recent and such a profound loss, It's entirely understandable that you would be feeling this way. I'm really glad you are seeing a grief counselor, when I went through a bereavement (well - I'm still "going through it" b...

Re: What do you do to cope?

Hi sarlou, Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm so impressed about the steps you've taken to look after yourself and to hear how you've managed your mental health for 20+ years, it sounds like you've learned from your past experiences and I personally find that so helpful and inspiring to hear ri...
