Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

I found it better once I'd deleted all our old message threads. Although I miss them at times I was killing myself going over and over them like a form of self torture. It's hard to step away a little but personally I did start to feel better once I did create a bit of distance between myself and th...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

A weird postscript tonight as it's my works Christmas party and we are both put in a group . Im steady pretending the last few months didn't happen. On the face of it we are fine, but with some kind of weird amnesia about the last few months. It's as if I don't exist.

It's very painful tbh.

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

It was November 14th. The fact that a total break hasn't been made is something that gives me hope. I don't think you can (certainly I cant) stop torturing yourself. Is it me? Does she hate me? Have I don't something? Reading around the subject it's clear that everyone's depression and MH issue is i...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

So sorry to hear yet another very similar story! It's remarkable how often this scenario seems to happen. Now I've read around a few forums and blog posts I do sort of understand the rationale behind it. It's also depressing how many promising relationships seem to end as a result. I hope your story...

Re: Hi. New to the forum. Seeking information and Help!

Thanks guys. After a bad week I started feeling a bit better about it all yesterday. I've not messaged her since Thursday morning, unfollowrd (but not unfriended) her on Facebook. Deleted our messenger conversations so I couldn't torture myself with them. I also had a good long think about why I was...

Hi isap. Thanks a lot. That's sensible advice.

I'm just realising how horrible an illness this is. So hard watching someone you love suffer with it.

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

This topic (in my case girlfriend) is what brought me online looking for information and it seems sadly a common story. In mid November my girlfriend of 3 months messaged me to say that she couldn't commit to the relationship as how she was feeling meant she couldn't give me the support or attention...

Hi. New to the forum. Seeking information and Help!

Hi everyone. I was browsing some discussion topics and thought I'd join in. I recently broke up with my girlfriend (not mutual lets say!) who is suffering from (I think, I don't know her diagnosis) severe depression and anxiety. I want to support her, but it's hard to divorce my own feelings from th...
