Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane Deciding whether to worry about them or not is a tough choice. I have a dilemma in that last time he spoke to me he was genuinely quite happy and I can’t see any good reason for him to be blanking me, he’s not been online at all for 2 days. Not only does he have friends who take drugs I kn...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Arwen I’m so pleased you are doing well. I don’t think it will take me long to get over him. We were together for four years but the past 8 months have sort of weaned me off him slowly. I would imagine he’s found someone else, I’m really not his type to be honest. He’s late nights drinking in nas...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane I’m so sorry. These men play with our emotions and it’s wrong. Depression doesn’t give them an excuse to treat us so badly. I’ve really given up now, candle of hope properly snuffed out. Like you I see him a message yesterday saying I had a stressful day with my parents, normally he would ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Sally Glad to hear you are doing well. Such a shame your new date took you to the same place but maybe it showed you aren’t ready for dating just yet xx I’m not doing so well. Since he told me he only loved me as a friend right now it’s like that’s given him permission to be even more uncommunica...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane I’m sorry it was such a nightmare day for you xx You aren’t crazy still wanting to be there for him. I’m feeling the same way about my man. I know tonight he will probably be out clubbing with his mates all night, drinking too much and will spend all tomorrow recovering. I wish I could sto...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane I always find work a good distraction, I hope you do too. Having said that I’m not at work today as I had a new sofa being delivered. This is the first weekend I haven’t asked him if he wanted to meet for lunch and I’m awful tempted. Both my parents are unwell and it’s tough looking after ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane I hope you feel a bit better this morning. I honestly think he has stopped taking his meds and has set himself back to where he was before. His friends maybe can’t get through to him either so have nothing they can tell you. I guess all you can do is hope he pulls out of this and realises ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Ariane I’ve played the ‘why I’m better off without him’ game too. In my case he also drinks too much and we also live an hour apart, he’s very much ‘leave it to the last minute’ and I like to get things done, he hoards paperwork and can never find anything and I itched to sort and file everything...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ariane I am so sorry and wish even more that I could give you a hug xx I hope his friends get back to you with some more positive news and I hope he reads your message. Nothing is worse than seeing them online ignoring your message, my guy often ignored messages and it always felt like he was punish...

Re: Depressed boyfriend is emotionally flatlining

Hi Scn I’ve been here for about 7 months. In the group of people I mainly talk to only two of us are still in contact with out partners and both of us are far from out of the woods yet. Never give up hope though. If you want to keep trying then you should, only you will know when you want to give up...
