Re: Looking for advice please

Hi kerryc, Welcome to the forum! You've done great by detailing your concerns to the GP - the only other thing you can do is convince him to go to the GP. Even under the disguise of a general appointment, the GP can only progress with your information if they have an appointment and discuss the next...

Re: need help?

Hi there,

Welcome! The forum is essentially an open space to discuss all things mental health. There are subsections where you can find posts and threads more relevant to what you're looking for. Hope this helps, and do let me know if you need more help!x

Re: Deleted

Hi bluerose, Unfortunately, the forum isn't very active any more, and those who are left are also busy fighting their own battles with mental health. Apologies if you were left disappointed by this forum - other forums like MentalHealthForum are more active, so perhaps you will get the support you s...

Re: Doni access the crisis team or just push through?

Hi messed, Sorry to hear how you feel. I think you've done well by going to the crisis centre - it's a brave thing to do. Don't worry about what you say or how you say it - the important thing is that you go in and talk about what you're going through and what support you need. I know it's tough, bu...

Re: What is the point

Hi there, It can be really hard, but in fact, resilience is being able to get back up on your feet after every knock. It may not be straight away, but realising and accepting what has happened, resolving it as best you can, and progressing, is the way forward. The others have also left great advice,...

Re: Pressure from my family and guilt

Hi histing, I think that you're definitely not alone in feeling like this. Whether it's bipolar, other mental illness or physical disabilities, family and friends may struggle to understand a change in capability, and may show some frustration over something that they can't control and increases the...

Re: support

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about what you're going through. The mental health services in the country have still got a long way to go unfortunately, and the system for mental health needs a lot of work. Hopefully things improve soonx

Re: its so unfair

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your situation.

If this GP doesn't hear your concerns or problems, then you could ask to see another GP, go to another practice, or even consider going privatex

Hope all goes well
