Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ariane, if it's any consolation as far away as my relationship is now I still can't shake the thought that she might come.back. I popped into the office today with my daughter, I made a point of speaking to her as always. She seemed a bit anxious around us as she does nowadays, but she smiled at me ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi guys. Sorry to hear the horrible turn that has occurred with a few of your stories lately. I agree after a while this forum (and others like it) stop being so helpful. It just fuels the pain. I still find myself reading blog posts and forum discussions night after night. Not sure what I'm even lo...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Yes I hope we Al enjoy the sun! Do enjoyable things and don't think about all the hurt. I know that's not easy. I still think about her all the time and it's not easy. But I do feel I've got myself in a much better place. Working with her is so hard, but it does allow me, as I say, to view her and h...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Update part 2 :D I’m hoping where I am might help some people. One of the big problems I’ve had with moving on is my head constructing these stories about my ex and how she’s feeling/What she’s doing. At various points I had myself convinced that I’d meant nothing to her. That I was just a rebound o...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ive put a lot of thought into my situation lately. Its so hard to see some of you going through those horrible emotions, back at the start of the process again. I remember that pain so much and I feel for you all. Although I have good days and bad days I am generally much better than I was even a mo...

Re: Depressed boyfriend is emotionally flatlining

Good luck with the platonic thing. You are doing a selfless thing and that is admirable. I'm at that situation with my ex (although we were only a couple for a short amount of time and friends for a lot longer prior to that so the transition may not be as difficult for me as you may find it) the har...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Sorry to hear how you are feeling ariane. And that things have turned out this way.

I know it doesn't help right now but it will get easier. As you know. Just try and cling onto that belief when you feel low.

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Thanks Arwen. Unfortunately a new job isn't really feasible. I'll just have to suck it up and accept it'll take longer! It's a bad situation but I should have known better than to get involved with a colleague, mental health or not it's never a good idea! The worst thing is that I can never move on ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Depression shouldn't be an excuse for bad behaviour. And even if the behaviour cannot be helped is it behaviour that you could excuse/ignore in a relationship? And why should you? We are people with value too. I feel a little worse lately. I think that's partly because we've been interacting better ...
