Re: Mindfulness

Hi all, Thank you so much amaya for this great post. Really interesting and useful to have links that people have tried and tested! I've heard so many positive things about mindfulness, but so far I'm quite new to it all and so don't often practice (whoops!). Aside from some shorter meditations, are...

Re: Snow

Hi!

It's really lovely before it's all mushed by cars and things! :D
I was amazed this morning when I saw how it had settled. I think it looks lovely when it's getting dark but the snow is still really bright.

Re: Counselling and psychiatrists

Thanks to both of you - you were both very helpful.

I think I struggled with the people I've met before because I didn't feel comfortable, or that I could really talk through things easily with them. From what I've heard it can be a bit trial and error finding someone who you're comfortable with.

Re: can anyone relate to me?

Hi! I definitely find that I can slip into a world of my own, especially when I'm by myself for the day or something like that. But sometimes I feel myself drifting off when with friends and then suddenly snap out of it and realise I have no idea what's going on! I think sometimes, this just happens...

Counselling and psychiatrists

Hi, I'm just wondering if someone can give me some more information about these kinds of services? I've been to a few different counsellors but found it very difficult and didn't go to many sessions. I want to try anything that will help but I don't know really how to approach counselling. Can anyon...

Re: Sluggish Brain Syndrome

Hi! I think I had this problem when I first started taking my meds, and it still hits me now and then. I hated that feeling of confusion and I often felt quite dizzy - I think I found that my eyesight went a bit fuzzy, or just the confusion was really hitting me. A lot of this passed after about 2 w...

Re: Don't Know What to Do

Hi Lexa, I hope you are receiving at least some of the support you need in hospital. I think one of the problems you face when you have mental health problems is that different things work for different people. I find myself trawling through the internet and books looking for something new or differ...

Re: Hi! I'm new to the forums

Hi Teamn

That's quite alright - I'm getting used to it all too.

Not entirely sure how to use the forums effectively to help, but hoping I'll muddle through and be able to fit it into my own support system like you're trying to!

Any tips on building something like that?
