Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hi Debs Thanks again and I wish I was getting on that bus with you. 4 weeks and the new AD hasn't kicked in. I checked the net and it can take up to 6 weeks so still in with a chance. I think that the effect is delayed if you are taking other meds at the same time. So periodically some horrid anxiet...

Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hello Debs Thanks for your long post and the one above. I'm not great but soldiering on. Having to adjust to being alone in my cell most of the day because new cellmate is a trustee and basically works outside all day. He pops back now and then to see how I am and have a sneaky cigarette which techn...

Re: The pros and cons of (alcohol) self medicating

Hello Upwards You're a welcome addition to this forum. As you will have noticed there aren't many of us who post. Drinking a bottle of wine is far more pleasurable than popping a pill. Which goes to the third way, not one or the other but both. The problem I discovered is that the alcohol affects th...

Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hello Debs Waiting for medicine to kick in is no fun as we all know. Hope the pregabalin works but you still have plenty of leeway. It distresses me that people in the UK can be so nasty to the weak and vulnerable. It comes from ignorance of course but I always hated London and its people and just w...

Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hi Debs I don't do much reading which is a big disadvantage here. Have never liked it, probably because I feel less anxious when moving or talking. Being a decent person seems like a forgotten way of behaviour these days but I haven't lived in Europe since 1984. Most Japanese are decent people. Brit...

Re: The pros and cons of (alcohol) self medicating

For me, the worst thing about alcohol is that it potentiates the effects of the medication you are on. This is great at first but then it makes your medivations poop out early. Of course it all depends how much you are drinking and what you are drinking If I wasnt in jail I would be drinking but onl...

Re: omg, my mind is being read...

Hi Kevin The problem for you personally on this forum is that I do not know of any other poster with schizophrenia. But you have already proved yourself to be a good supporter - for me, in spite of your own struggles. You accepted me unconditionally which is a lovely trait. You could have said what ...

Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hello Debs Sorry to hear you are still struggling. It's so unfair but we mustnt dtart feeling sorry for ourselves My psychopath cellmate with his triple life conviction is being shipped off to another prizon tomorrow. I dont know what to feel, he has been odious but also generous and helpful. A Dani...
