When trust is lost, or it becomes harder to trust, feelings of anxiety and fear can become overwhelming. People may feel they have absolutely no confidence, and struggle with self-doubt and worries.

At their worst, such feelings can become debilitating and paralysing, leaving people unable to undertake any meaningful activity.
