12 Kingsley Napley trainees and 3 mountains later
Added: 3rd Sep 2018

Our COTY law firm Kingsley Napley braved the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours!

The challenge took place on 21st July. 12 trainees from the firm climbed the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all in the name of mental health and Noah’s Ark (a children’s hospice).

They began climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland early on the Saturday morning and ventured on to each peak from there. They walked a total of 26 miles that day and ascended 9,800ft!

They also had to endure 10 hours of driving with no sleep. How did they do it?!

Kingsley Napley fundraisers said:

‘This was without a doubt the hardest thing we have all done. We overcame many unexpected obstacles, and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without the group coming together to support each other. We did our best to do KN proud.’

‘The Three Peak Challenge was a fantastic experience and showed just what having a strong support network can help you achieve (i.e. not breaking down when stuck on a mountain top in the rain and in the dark!). Loneliness, depression and feeling isolated are all too common issues and I can only hope that other workplaces and communities get involved to support SANE and raise awareness so that more people can feel the benefits of such challenges and the support that SANE provides.’

‘There were tears, exhaustion and delirium but we all pulled together and finished it as a stronger unit than when we started. It was a really great experience. However, even greater, we managed to raise a huge amount for a truly worthy cause – we are so grateful for all of those who donated and supported us. The firm and management team were particularly supportive and helped make this all possible. SANE is fantastic charity and is valiantly trying to combat one of the most difficult areas of modern healthcare.’

The team have exceeded their fundraising target and raised over £8,200!

This is incredible and we want to thank all staff at Kingsley Napley who embarked on the challenge and who helped support SANE – your great efforts have really have helped make a difference.

Thank you!
