SANE Supporter Report 2018
Added: 16th Apr 2018

We are delighted to present our 2017/18 Supporter Report outlining important milestones for SANE over the last 12 months.

Amongst our achievements we have strengthened SANE’s services and welcomed many new volunteers – dedicated, talented people who freely give their time to support those affected by mental illness. We are well on our way to achieving our vision of 120 volunteers by March 2019.

The Black Dog Campaign continues to go from strength to strength. Originally launched for 15 months in 2011/2012 to celebrate SANE’s 25th anniversary, it has gone from a short lived idea to, five years later, one of our most memorable and popular tools for changing perceptions of mental illness and encouraging people to seek help.

Our key priorities for this year include:

Answering more calls: It is an unfortunate reality that we are unable to answer all of the calls to SANEline. Many of these are from people desperate and in distress. By growing the number of trained volunteers, more people will have their calls answered and receive the compassion, understanding and respect they need.

Rebuilding our website: An ever increasing number of people access sane.org.uk via their mobile phone. Currently our site is not mobile friendly, meaning many people abandon before they have managed to receive support. Rebuilding the website will both expand our digital reach and mean people can get the help they need quickly and easily.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of SANE. Your help is as important today as it has ever been.
