SANE is a mental health charity that aims to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness.

SANE Services provide emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental illness.  SANEline is the only national, specialist mental health helpline available from 18:00 – 23:00, 365 days a year. All our services are delivered by volunteers. Our volunteers are trained, developed and supported by an expert team of mental health professionals.

If you are an experienced therapist, counsellor or mental health professional who is looking for an exciting opportunity to move into a different service type, develop new skills, work as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team and take up a role which offers you the flexibility to work around your availability, then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for an individual with a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of mental health issues; confidence in delivering training and an ability to motivate and develop our volunteers.

If you want to be part of an organisation which provides over 5000 hours of one to one emotional support a year, across a number of channels, why not contact Leigh Wallbank, Head of Services, for an informal discussion about the role or for an application pack.

NB: As well as a comprehensive induction, full training will be given in any aspect of service delivery skills as necessary.
