The new SANEline poster, leaflet and wallet card have been redesigned to incorporate the new SANE branding and are available now.
The new materials reflect a collaborative effort from the communications team, SANEline staff, volunteers and service users to find a new look for the helpline that will ensure as many people as possible feel that SANEline is somewhere they can turn to for help.
"Whether you're calling for the first time or have been using the helpline for a while, we want everybody to feel that SANEline is there for them," says SANE's head of services, Sam Cheatle. "We have always been known as a helpline for those in crisis, which we are, but we also want to ensure that anyone worried or concerned about a mental health issue feels they can contact us for support and information at any stage. The earlier help is sought the better."
Designer Paul Coomey, who took the poster image, volunteered his time to help SANE develop the new materials and it was his idea to use a handwritten note.
"Someone could have written the note themselves or have been given it by a concerned friend," says SANE's communications officer, Emma Smith. "The image successfully gets inside the head of someone contemplating seeking help and we hope it will encourage those in need of support to do so.
