Below are some ideas and information to help support you with organising your own fundraising activity for SANE. Please contact the Fundraising Team on 020 7422 5544 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help with any aspect of your fundraising. We are here to provide advice, support and answer any questions you may have.
We have a range of materials to help you plan and implement your event:
Creating an online fundraising page is the easiest way for you to collect sponsorship money. Plus JustGiving reclaim Gift Aid on eligible donations on our behalf.
Creating a JustGiving page is quick and easy, and you can personalise the page with photographs, stories and explain why you have chosen to support SANE.

Social media is a great way to give your fundraising a boost: Promote your event through Facebook and Twitter to encourage friends and family to support your fundraising efforts.
The Institute of Fundraising has teamed up with BT to produce this guide on fundraising using social media.
Gift Aid: Ensure your sponsors Gift Aid their donation if they are able. This means that we can claim back 25p for every £1 given, at no extra cost to the individual. Simply ask them to read the Gift Aid information on your SANE sponsorship form or JustGiving page and tick the Gift Aid box if applicable.
For more information on Gift Aid, please visit the HMRC website
Text SANE: Why not encourage people to donate £3 by texting SANE to 70300 during your fundraising event. We receive 100% of the money donated by text, and supporters are also able to Gift Aid this donation. Just £3 could help to save a life. Click here to find out more about giving to SANE by text.
Employer Matched Funding: Does your employer have a matched giving scheme? If so you could double your fundraising total by asking your employer to match what you raise!
