'Amaze Wheels' team at MEC Global completes pedibus fundraising challenge
Added: 19th Jun 2012

Pedibus

Last week MEC Global completed their pedibus challenge to raise money for SANE. One member of the ‘Amaze Wheels’ fundraising team described the day during which the team rode the eight-seater human powered vehicle around Hyde Park:

"Everyone from the entire MEC agency met up last Wednesday morning for bacon sarnies (we needed that energy for the day!) and a motivational session with none other than Mr Motivator himself. It was then off to Tower Bridge to collect the pedibus and start the challenge. We soon discovered it was harder than we could possibly have imagined – no matter how fast your legs seemed to pump, the pedibus only chugged along at an extremely slow pace! We took it in turns to cycle, giving our legs a much needed rest and there was a big cheer when we reached the end of the day at 4pm!

"Although the day was physically exhausting we had an amazing time – we had a lot of laughs and made some new friends from around the agency. It was extremely rewarding when we knew we had raised over £1,000 for SANE – a charity that does great work and well worth the effort".

SANE would like to thank everyone in the ‘Amaze Wheels’ team at media agency MEC Global for all their hard work and time to raise funds for SANE.
