Wotton House Gala Event

SANE Trustee David Gladstone and his wife April welcomed guests to a glittering gala evening in their mansion set in the beautiful parkland of Wotton House.

Guest speaker Cherie Booth QC highlighted the challenges that mental illness presents and ways in which SANE answers the call to action in her speech to mark World Mental Health Day.

Guests were treated to classical music by talented young virtuoso violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen and maestro pianist Ronan Magill. There was also a performance by Ukrainian bass-baritone singer Vassily Savenko, who sang some heart warming Russian songs. 

Sculptures by Josie Spencer, the established New York artist were available to view and buy. Bronze figures were placed around the parkland, adding great character to the landscape, and a selection were on show inside the house.

Guests enjoyed a gourmet 3-course meal before an auction hosted by David Selves pulled in some generous bids.
