Dancing In The Dark

Dancing in the dark, with a damaged heart. All you can recall are the times you felt so small. All you hear in
your head are the messages from the dead. Telling you once more all that they abhorred. Left you with no self-esteem, leaving you stripped clean. Hold my hand and come with me, don't give in to they're treachery.

I find that it is a constant battle to undo the damage from my past. Some days I am more successful than others. It is amazing that at the age of 57 , I still here the negative voices in my head of people like my deceased parents. This should teach us to choose our words very carefully, especially around our children.
