Tips For Staying Well

1. Be kind to yourself.
You are not perfect, you are a flawed human being with the right to make mistakes and the right to learn. Give yourself a break.

2. Anger is a healthy emotion.
Anger is one of the four core emotions, along with sadness, fear and happiness. It is important to allow yourself to experience it and to find an outlet for it when it comes. If it doesn't come out, it can only go in and you'll either turn the anger towards yourself or it will build up and be released as a boiling rage, likely directed towards someone or something that doesn't deserve it.

3. If it feels wrong, it must be right.
The key to beating depression is to stay active, even when it is the last thing you feel like doing. Keep point number 1 in mind and don't push too hard too soon but new experiences open our horizons. That moment when it feels weird means it's working.

4. No change, no change.
You must become the change you want to see. If you keep doing things the same way, you'll keep getting the same result.

5. 'No' is a complete sentence.
We all have the right to express our own feelings and assert our own desires, as long as they do not impinge upon anyone else. And we all have the right to say 'no' to an unreasonable request.
