Notes Towards The Voyage From Me To You

Yesterday I woke from a dream in which I was walking along a path. Suddenly the way started surging with water, pouring around me and towards the horizon. The water was up to my waist. I was almost pulled under but kept on my feet. Feeling the danger, along with some excitement, I jerked my head left. This movement was enough to lift me out of the water.

I am feeling more and more committed to the idea of a storytelling and poetry evening, in aid of SANE, reading my stuff, poems, with short anecdotes that relate to schizophrenia as I have lived it... on the cusp of creativity. I like how in my dream I was able to control the forward rush. We will see. I plan to start in May, my favourite month here in Yorkshire. It's when everything starts to grow and change. "Don't cast a clout till May is out", my wife Biffy taught me. There is still a chance of a freeze, needing extra clothes. We have still one foot in winter ... I have one foot still in my illness. Proceed, the dream seemed to say, with caution... Thank you for reading my blog... John.
