International Day of Friendship by Amanda

2nd Aug 2019

International Day of Friendship is celebrated on July 30th. I feel that this day is important because without my friends I would have struggled with my mental health recovery. When I was in out patient therapy, I would call my best friend after my sessions and we would talk. This helped me process what I learned during the session.

Not only do I have friends close by but I also have friends all over the world. When I got stuck between sessions, I would be able to call my friends and talk about how I was feeling.   They would listen. Feeling that I was valued also helped me in my recovery.

I would like to take this time to thank my friends, especially my best friend, for helping me with my mental health recovery. You guys are amazing.

Be sure to thank your friends on International Day of Friendship for their support.
