Dance can be a really helpful way to express things we may not have the words for and provides the opportunity to be creative and release some emotions. It doesn’t have to be a performance or in a particular style either, the important thing is what feels right for you.

It can be powerful and cathartic to stomp out your anger and frustrations, comforting to sway to a gentle melody, and fun to be playful and celebrate a good mood with a boogie. It can take a lot of energy, or just be a little twiddle of your fingers, it can be a choreographed sequence that feels familiar or some new moves you weren’t expecting.
