Here are 10 small, easy things you can do to make yourself feel better on the daily! They’re not some crazy, over-spiritual rituals either, just general little bits that have helped me feel that little bit better, and may help you out too!

1. Make your bed.

It’s so simple and it may not seem like it, but it really motivates me and helps me start my day off feeling that little bit more put together.

2. Stop Procrastinating.

If you keep putting off that thing you can’t be bothered doing, nothing is going to get done. Power through it, so then it’s out of the way and you can get on with the things you really want to do.

3. Get dressed.. properly.

I am guilty of slobbing about in my pyjamas on my days off, but if you put on some comfy, casual clothes, you’re probably going to feel a lot better about yourself and motivated. Try bright colours if you’re feeling up to it, they may not be your thing at first but they’re so fun to look at and put a smile on peoples faces, much more positive than greyscale.

4. Educate yourself.

If you’re not in education anymore, look up something you’re interested in and find a short article about it. I always find myself accidentally educating myself and telling people about subjects i’ve recently discovered, it keeps your brain ticking and cures boredom.

5. Write stuff down.

Sometimes this is best when you feel lime you can’t speak to anyone. It gets your thoughts off your chest. It could be just certain words or a full-blown story, whichever floats your boat.

6. Take yourself somewhere.

Understandably, this may be a bit difficult if you suffer from anxiety or the likewise. However, being cooped up in your house and getting cabin fever is never fun. I like to take myself off to town and have a mooch about the shops, maybe grab myself a coffee (or hot chocolate, usually hot chocolate though). It’s super refreshing for your mind and body and you’re stretching your legs too.

7. Make a hot drink.

The cosiest of beverages, they just make you feel lovely.

8. Stop eating rubbish!

If you consume rubbish foods (really, really guilty of this) then your mind & body are going to feel rubbish too. I’ve recently adopted a more ‘healthy’ diet, however I still treat myself now and again, just not every day & my mindset is a lot clearer!

9. Get out the social media checking cycle.

Social media is a false reality 90% of the time. Just because someone looks happy on screen doesn’t mean they are off screen! Don’t obsessively check social media and get so involved with others lives, focus on your own.

10. Think positive. 

Goes without saying really, there’s a positive in everything. You just have to look for it.
