After a process of researching which helplines prisoners wanted access to and identifying helplines offering appropriate services, we are very pleased that the Safer Custody Group chose SANEline as the specialist mental health helpline to recommend to prisoners.

Access to telephone helplines is a valuable tool for prisoners as the opportunity to talk through problems or feelings may help to reduce distress, thus lowering the risk of suicide or self-harm.
