SANEline's commitment to providing crisis care and information about mental health to people of all ages is being furthered by an exciting new partnership with YouthNet UK. This is a youth charity that champions an inclusive social environment where all young adults can contribute to society, facilitated through its website www.TheSite.org.

TheSite.org helps over 300,000 young people a month from all over the UK with concerns as diverse as drug abuse and self-harming. TheSite.org has expanded its services to include an online-support and advice facility for young adults called ‘askTheSite.’ It is the first comprehensive online advice service for young people with questions answered by qualified professionals from specialist organisations UK wide, and an archive of previously answered questions will enable young people to share and learn from each other’s experiences.

askTheSite brings together expert advice from SANEline, the Samaritans, Shelter, Citizens Advice Bureau, Brook, and BSS. It then delivers that advice in a digestible manner, tone and format for young adults. To complement the 1,000 calls a week which are handled by SANEline, a team at SANE will use our long-standing experience and expertise, and the extensive SANEline Information Database, to answer the questions and concerns raised through askThe Site about mental health.

By working in partnership, SANEline and YouthNet UK are able to extend and expand their support to young adults throughout the UK.
