University Fundraising

Is there a student counseling service or telephone helpline manned by volunteers at your university that may be interested in helping you to raise money for SANE?

Are you studying medicine, psychology or nursing and keen to learn more about mental illness and help those affected by these illnessses?

Have you or a friend at university been affected by a mental health problem and would like to raise awareness of the issues and help support the thousands of other people throughout the country who are also affected?

Adopt SANE as your department or faculty charity and organize events to raise funds and awareness about mental illness. Fundraising events can vary greatly in terms of resources and time, but they are a great way to meet new people, fill those ‘between’ lecture hours/days/weeks and raise awareness about issues such as depression, eating disorders and self harm. Whether it’s a pub quiz, club-night, film showing or charity lecture that inspires you, we can offer advice and materials to get you started.

If you are interested in SANE speaking about mental illness at one of your fundraising events or simply attending the event please get in touch and we will do our best to send a representative from the charity.

Universities that have recently supported SANE include Cambridge Rag and UCE. We would like to say a massive thank you to all involved at these universities in helping to raise this money for SANE.

'We hope you enjoy spending this money as much as we enjoyed raising it' Cambridge Rag
