National Festive Feast
There are few things as enjoyable as good food eaten with friends – and if you can help a great cause, too, then it's surely twice the fun. We are asking for all of our supporters to help us this Christmas by holding a fundraising dinner party to help raise the money needed to train more SANEline volunteers. SANE’s National Festive Feast offers a chance to combine a love for good food and drink with a desire to help support those affected by mental illness.
It costs SANE £1,000 to recruit, train and support a SANEline volunteer for a year. With demand increasing all the time, we urgently need more money to be able to train new volunteers. Christmas time is a particularly isolating time for many and the support of our volunteers give at this time to callers finding it difficult to cope is invaluable.
We would like to encourage you to join together with us on Saturday December 8th to hold your Christmas Feast, though the campaign will run throughout December, so if you can’t hold your party on the 8th please still help us and simply pick another date more suitable for you.
What you need to do to take part:
- Contact the fundraising team to register for the event and we will then send you a Host Kit to get you started. Call 020 7422 5544, email fundraising@sane.org.uk or write to SANE, 1st Floor Cityside House, 40 Adler Street, London, E1 1EE.
- Invite your friends and family to dinner, explaining that you are supporting SANE through the evening
- Plan the your fundraising evening and food with the help of SANE recipe and party suggestions
- Plan how you are going to raise money through your party. The way you use you fundraising dinner to actually raise money is up to you. You might charge a ticket price, suggest people bid for their favourite pudding, or perhaps include some fundraising games in the evening. It really is up to you.
How SANE will help:
Once you have registered, we will send you a Host Kit that contains everything you need to start organising your Christmas Feast. The Kit includes information about SANE’s work and the people we help for your guests, posters and leaflets, invitation templates, menu card templates, recipe ideas, party tips and ideas, and suggestiosn for fundraising games.

Once you have registered with us to host a dinner and we receive the money you have raised, you will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a case of champagne that will enable you to start the New Year off in style!
