Bristol Crisis Service for Women
The Bristol Crisis Service for Women is a national charity that offers support to women, with a particular focus on self-injury, (often called self-harm). We provide support through our helpline, information service and training.
The 'see me' campaign was set up in October 2002 by five mental health charities to combat the stigma and discrimination associated with mental ill-health. It is funded by the government of Scotland. We work with partners across Scotland both locally and nationally on a range of anti-stigma activities including advertising campaigns, events, press activity and distribution of materials.
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
BACP is the largest counselling and psychotherapy organisation in the UK. It has an Ethical Framework for Good Practice by which its members are bound and has accreditation schemes for individual members, training courses and counselling and psychotherapy agencies. It aims to be the first contact point for those seeking information about counselling and psychotherapy and produces an on-line directory giving details of counsellors in local areas throughout the UK.
The Wales Domestic Abuse Helpline is the national free support and information service for women, children and men in Wales who are experiencing or who have experienced abuse at the hands of someone close to them.It is also an information service for people who are concerned about someone they know, and for agencies that need information on the support available in Wales for adults and children.
Royal College of Psychiatrists
Providing information and advice on many different mental health problems, as well as therapies and services. Our evidence-based, award-winning leaflets contains input from both patients and expert psychiatrists. We also have leaflets for carers and parents, and resources for teachers. Much of the information is available in other langages.
