National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA)
The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA) aims to address the needs of children growing up in families where one or both parents are affected by alcoholism or a similar addictive problem. This includes children of alcohol dependent parents of all ages, many of whose problems only become apparent in adulthood. The charity runs a helpline which provides emotional support and information on these issues, to young people.
Eighteen And Under is a registered charity that offers confidential support and information to any young person, aged 18 and under, who has experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse. Appointments can also be made for face-to-face support.
OCD Action provides information on obsessive compulsive disorder to young people, parents, guardians and teachers.
