Careline is a national charity providing a confidential telephone counselling service and face to face counselling and hypnotherapy services. Careline is dedicated to providing intervention that help callers move on with their lives, putting their emotional turmoil behind them.
The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy's purpose is to promote the art and science of psychotherapy for the public benefit; to promote research and education in psychotherapy and disseminate the results of any such research; and to promote (or assist in the promotion, preservation and protection of public health by encouraging) high standards of training and practice in psychotherapy and the wider provision of psychotherapy for the public.
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
BACP is the largest counselling and psychotherapy organisation in the UK. It has an Ethical Framework for Good Practice by which its members are bound and has accreditation schemes for individual members, training courses and counselling and psychotherapy agencies. It aims to be the first contact point for those seeking information about counselling and psychotherapy and produces an on-line directory giving details of counsellors in local areas throughout the UK.
